Maryland/Virginia Regional Hub

The Clark School of Engineering at the University of Maryland had developed a technology entrepreneurship “ecosystem” that attracts an ever greater number of outside private resources to our hub's activities. The current set of programs serves the communities noted in the diagram below. The dashed arrows indicate possible or planned expansion to include a wider range of participants.

Our overall goal for the hub is for it to be effective in creating and supporting technology ventures that help the region to be one of the most productive in the nation in terms of technology ventures. Most of the elements of the hub have been proven out and are operating. Having recently hired a highly-qualified individual to direct our VentureAccelerator (VA) Program, in the coming year VA will become fully operational.
