Case Western Reserve University
Case Western Reserve University is one of the nation's
leading independent research universities, with programs that encompass the arts
and sciences, engineering, the health sciences, law, management, and social
work.
CWRU has launched a number of innovative programs in technology
entrepreneurship, including the Miller Center for Entrepreneurship, The
Institute for the Integration of Management and Engineering, and a series of
Master's Programs in Science Entrepreneurship.
The Physics Entrepreneurship Program, launched in the Fall of 2000 by the CWRU
Physics Department and the Weatherhead School of Management is the first of
these new programs. It provides students with a strong background in Physics
with the training, network of contacts and resources they need to create and
successfully grown new hi-tech ventures. With the assistance of the Sloan
Foundation and the Coleman Foundation/U.S. Association for Small Business and
Entrepreneurship, the model of the Physics Entrepreneurship Program is being
expanded to the other sciences.
Case Western's Role in N2TEC
Serve as an N2TEC test site for high bandwidth visual
collaboration. Will share intellectual property resources and collaborate with
students from other schools. Will serve particularly as a resource for science
entrepreneurship.
