The N2TEC Commercialization Portal is a virtual community of practice for member schools. We are breaking new ground in the practice of technology commercialization by bringing together faculty and students who are interested in transferring the results of their research to society in the form of new products and services. It is our hope that this portal will facilitate new collaborations and the sharing of knowledge and resources.

Portal Capabilities

The Portal is built on Microsoft SharePoint Team Services and gives users the ability to create their own unique workspaces without having to go through a central administration. Workspaces allow for document sharing, discussion boards, image libraries, task lists, links, and many other "Web parts." Users can customize their sites to suit their needs. Users also have access to the growing list of resources in the Portal and can link up with other users for collaboration purposes.

N2TEC is open to faculty, students, and their industry partners from NCIIA member schools who are currently working on specific projects. It is not open to individuals who are not part of a project team. At the present time, there is no charge to register and join N2TEC; however, it is expected that we will implement a membership fee by the end of 2005.
